Johnson, in split squad action threw 3 scoreless innings, 38 pitches, 28 going for strikes. He gave up 2 hits(one going to the Padres's thirdbasemen kevin Kouzmanoff, who was thrown out by Snyder trying to steal second). Johnson struck out 5. It appears he's recovered nicely from the back surgery. Hopefully he returns off the DL quickly, and returns to the form of the RJ we remember in pitching for Arizona.

Johnson - Owings comes in to relieve in the fourth.
Micah Owings has came in on the fourth inning, and if he has a great outing he could make the roster. The Padres have just managed to score two runs off him in the fifth so far. I'll update as the game progress. Edit: dbacks score one off a tracy double in the bottom of the fith, but Owings gives up another two in the sixth inning. edit2: dbacks lose 5-3
The JD Durbin Analysis will have to wait until late tonight, or tommorow.
